At Nipaquay Elementary School, we believe that respect is the foundation of a safe and positive learning environment. We strive to create a Restorative Community that promotes respect among all students, staff, and visitors.
Respectful relationships are an important part of our Restorative Community. Students should always treat their peers and adults with kindness, courtesy, and compassion. We will listen to and accept others’ opinions while also expressing our own. Bullying, teasing, and being disrespectful are not acceptable behaviors at Nipaquay Elementary School.
We also believe in working together to solve meaningful problems. When conflicts arise, students should work together with staff to find positive solutions. It’s important to talk to each other, listen, and understand other’s viewpoints. We encourage students to be open-minded and to use problem-solving skills when approaching their learning and each other.
