Welcome to the 2023-2024 School Year

Please make sure to read through all of the information below before Monday, 8/21.

Office Opens 8/7/23 - Daily Hours - 7:00am-3:00pm

First Day of School:  Monday, 8/21/2023

• Our school was designed as a walking campus, please, please walk for drop off and pick up if possible. 

• Parents will not be permitted to enter campus during regular school hours. Please participate in our student orientation Friday 8/18/23 (9:00-9:45 UTK/K - Presentation 9:45-10:00 all grades - 10:00-10:45 Grades 1-3) to gain familiarity with our policies and procedures. Please see arrival/dismissal procedure.

Class Rosters:

Class rosters will be posted on our Front Office Doors on Friday, 8/18/2023 by 5:00 p.m. and will be available to view all weekend. Please know that with increased enrollment there may be some shifting of students in the first 4-6 weeks.

  • Important NOTE: Wednesdays and designated Tuesdays are minimum days. Please plan accordingly. 

Breakfast and Lunch

Breakfast and lunch will be provided for any family that desires it. UTK Breakfast will be served in the cafeteria after the morning bell at 7:45. Grades K-3 will be served breakfast in classrooms from 7:35-7:55am.

Arrival/Drop-Off Overview: Be on the lookout for two pieces of paper that will be provided at orientation 8/18 or be sent home with your students Monday 8/21. We ask that you please fill these out with your child's information and place them on your dash/display them as you pick up either via vehicle or if walking up. 

For day one please write the first and last name of your student along with their grade level on the provided colored paper to display as you walk or drive up for pickup.

• IMPORTANT: Please allow time for arrival and dismissal. Walk up, drop off and pickup is the preferred method for arrival and departure. PLEASE BRING YOUR PATIENCE 🙂

Nipaquay Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

Parking lot is for staff members only. Do not use school parking spots during arrival/dismissal. If you are walking to pick up/drop off a student, please park off campus, Civita Park can be used. 

UTK/K Arrival

• Gates open at 7:35. Gates close at 7:45

  • Students who arrive late must enter through the front office with an adult and check in before being escorted to class by a staff member. 

• Students should enter through the double gate at the main entrance near the stairs.

• Families must remain outside of the gates at all times.  

UTK/K Pickup

• Dismissal at 2:15 (UTK)  and 2:20 (Kinder)

• Families must remain outside of the gates.

• All families must have a pickup pink (UTK)/green (Kinder) placard. 

• Drivers must remain in their vehicles with your placard visible. Students will enter the vehicle when it is in the designated loading area. Do not leave cars unattended.

• Students will be released via radio, and walk up the access ramp to your vehicle.

• If you are also picking up a student from 1st-5th, please either make a loop or inform your UTK/K student’s teacher so your UTK/K student can wait with the older sibling in the 1st-5th walking/vehicle areas. 

Nipaquay Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

1st - 5th Arrival

• Gates open at 7:35. Gates close at 7:45.

  • Students who arrive late must enter through the front office with an adult and check in before walking to their classroom. 

• Students can enter through either gate. (Double gate/main entrance or side gate)

• Students must walk directly to their classrooms.

  • *For the 1st week, teachers will meet students near the side gate where students will line up. Classes will walk in together at 7:45*

• Families must remain outside of the gates. 

1st - 5th Dismissal

• Students will be dismissed at 2:30. 

• Families must remain outside of the gates. 

• Families must bring their student pickup placard.

  • Blue (1st grade)

  • Purple (2nd grade) 

  • Yellow (3rd grade)

• Drivers must remain in their vehicles with your placard visible. Students will enter the vehicle when it is in the designated loading area.

  • Vehicles must pull all the way forward to help the flow of traffic. 

• Families that are walking must wait in the designated Walking Pickup Zone.

• If you need to to load bikes or scooters into your vehicle, plan to pick your student up in the Walking Pickup Zone and walk to your parked vehicle (off campus)

  • Do not leave your vehicle unattended in the driveway

  • Do not park your vehicle in a school parking spot
